Hey, so, I really hope I don’t have an entire audience allergic to pussy, because I’ve kind of been going through a lesbian phase over the past couple of days.

I’d kind of like to take a swing at writing erotica at some point. See, every once in a while, when I’m writing some scene, I’ll get distracted by the thought “This would be a perfect time for these characters to start fucking each other senseless, if I was writing that kind of book.” The personality element of sexy stuff is such a huge point of appeal for me, and I write characters with really strong personalities. I write novels for fun and draw sex to relax, so it’s hard to keep those wires from crossing for me. It might be cool to channel that constructively, instead of trying to shake it off and focus on something else. I mean, these two aren’t even gay in the book; I just keep getting distracted by “But if they were gay, they’d be a really cute couple.”

I changed a few details on these characters, so it feels more like an alternate universe thing. This way, I can say “In the universe that matters, Lyra and Ada record a few songs for a metal album, eat dinner together, gossip about some stuff, and then go to bed. In some other universe, slightly different versions of Lyra and Ada record for their album, eat dinner together, then fuck the hell out of each other on the living room floor.” That way, the stories and themes and jokes I’m working with aren’t limited only to the kind of audience that also enjoys graphic descriptions of lesbian sex acts.
