I’ve been trying out this pose some more. I feel a lot more comfortable pulling back a little bit, and taking on a more neutral angle. Because a single character, mostly upper body thing like this is relatively quick and easy to do, I figured I’d take the opportunity to get some practice in.

And, I can talk a little about what draws me to making art like this in the first place. Part of it’s almost like some kind of zen thing. Just sitting down and focusing on drawing dicks blocks out the part of my brain that tries to constantly analyze things and worry about shit. For some reason, that’s what I respond to. If my brain settled down from drawing fight scenes, I’d be making action comics right now or something like that.

A big part of the appeal for me, though, why I enjoy doing this stuff, comes from a character’s personality and expression. It’s why I’m probably going to come back and recycle some old positions with new characters. With a picture like this, I find myself just as drawn in by Lyra’s face as I am by her dick. To show this, I’ll put up a few other variations of the same picture with different characters while I was practicing. Each one is basically the same pose, but a different kind of sexy to me.

This last one’s my favorite. Maud doesn’t give one fuck about anything. She’ll paint the ceiling white with a straight face. I love drawing Maud. I’m just too easily distracted by other characters to use her more.
