I actually drew this one a while ago, but somehow managed to lose the final version somewhere. I had to go back to the sloppy version and re-do the entire cleanup process. Took me a while to find the motivation to sit down and re-do this, especially after I introduced some shading elements to my pipeline. It means starting from re-doing the lineart is three phases away from being finished, instead of just two.

As far as the character goes, Chrysalis is one my favorite cartoon characters. Not just for being extremely easy to turn into a very sexy bug lady, but also for oddly making sense to turn into a very sexy bug lady. See, for some reason, the wild-eyed maniacs writing Friendship Is Magic somehow managed to smuggle a (PG-rated) succubus into a cartoon aimed at seven-year-olds. The idea behind Chrysalis, had she existed in an R-rated show, would have seen her vampire-ing people's life force by fucking them to death. 

And her design is just fucking rad as hell either way. More shape-shifters should transform behind a dense curtain of howling flames. I still want to get some posters or T-shirts with her or something. I gave up on Friendship Is Magic ages ago. I have no idea if Chrysalis ever pops up again, but I fucking hope so. If I ever hear her name mentioned in the same breath as an episode title I don't recognize, I will rush back for exactly that one episode. Team Bug Horse for life, bay-bee.

I usually like to comment on my process, or the story behind my artwork, or things like that. But this is one of the ones where I don't really have much to say. I drew Carrie with her dick out. Not really much more to it than that. I do have something else to talk about, though. Keeping it simple this time. Not really tangling people up at all; just a couple of girls hanging out with their dicks out. Simplicity at least in part because I haven’t shown off the girl on the right before. Her name is Calypso. She’s actually at least half demon, in a world where demons are less “force of pure evil that live in literal, actual Hell” and more “subgroup of humans with horns, and a culture steeped in aggression and relentless expression”. She’s difficult for me to draw, because I have a hard time getting cornrows to look good in my style, especially without any texture, and because her hair doesn’t cover her ears, so I have to bother to draw those, too. I do really like the way she looks, so I hope to work with her again sometime. BONUS SET!
